The three-layer hand-nested vanadium steel pocket spring system holds 3,366 independently responding springs in a King size, enabling the mattress to map closely to the body's contours without transferring motion across the sleeping surface. Six rows of hand side-stitching along the border lock the springs to the edge for consistent support from center to perimeter. Hand-tufting with woollen tufts and twine compresses the upholstery layers at regular intervals, keeping the filling distribution in place for the life of the mattress and preventing migration over time.
